Roger E. Pearson

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather Roger Pearson who left this world unexpectedly on February 1, 2025 at the age of 82.

Roger Pearson was born in Las Vegas to Ernest and Wilma Pearson on June 23, 1942.

Roger attended Fifth Street School and graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1961, where he met Diane, his wife of 60 years. Together they raised two children and two grandchildren. Roger was a Navy Veteran who served on the USS Hornet aircraft carrier during his military service. He worked in the telecommunications field for over 30 years, retiring from Centel/Sprint. He was very athletic and loved playing men’s softball, co-ed softball, and co-ed soccer. He also coached women’s softball for many years. He loved his UNLV Runnin’ Rebels, Los Angeles Dodgers, and the Los Angeles Rams. He loved spending time in his man cave garage, where he could be found restoring classic cars. He was a proud member of the Southern Nevada Classic Chevy Car Club for many years, sharing his love and passion for classic cars. He also enjoyed spending time in Duck Creek, UT where he could be found riding four-wheelers and playing UNO card games with his family and friends. His two granddaughters were the light of his life.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Wilma Pearson; his sister Elaine Feldman; and his son Brian Pearson.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Diane; daughter Tracey (Ryan) Haslem; granddaughters Kaila and Alyssa Haslem; brother Clark (Debbie) Pearson; sister Pat Gresh; sister Gloria Council; and many nephews and nieces.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Davis Memorial Chapel, 6200 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
