Roma Jean Myers Williams, 78, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2010, after a long struggle with Alzheimer disease.
She was born February 21, 1932, in Milford, Utah, to Gilva and Heber Myers, the second daughter of six children.
Roma Jean graduated from Milford High School in Milford, Utah in 1950. While growing up in Milford, she met and fell in love with Bud Williams. They were married on May 10, 1951, in Milford, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Las Vegas Temple and they have been married for 59 years.
They lived the majority of their married years in Las Vegas and a short time in Pocatello, Idaho.
Roma Jean was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. She loved and served faithfully in the Relief Society throughout the years. Her most enjoyable time was during the holidays and having her family together. She loved the Las Vegas area and yearned to come back after spending 12 years in Pocatello.
She is survived by her husband, Bud her children, Buddy Janae Williams, Janice Leonard Wilson, and Jerry Julie Williams her 10 grandchildren and her 14 great grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters, RaNae Gary DeGraw, Shirleen Alan Arns, and Karolyn Nightingale.
Preceding her in death were one son, Douglas her parents a sister, Rhoda Marie Myers and a brother, DeWayne Myers.
Bishop Michael Cureton will be conducting the services at the Palo Verde Chapel.
