Ronald E. Davidson, 71, of Las Vegas passed away on Tuesday, January 4,
2011. He was born on May 12, 1939, in Dunkirk, NY, to William and Claribel
Davidson.
He grew up in Western New York, graduating from Fredonia High School in
1958. In 1962, he was honorably discharged from the Army. He moved to Las
Vegas 14 years ago.
An avid musician, he was a member of numerous bands, including Flying
Dutchman Drum and Bugle Corps, The Deutschmeisters, The Mellowtones, Vegas
Valley Legacy Band and many others. He also enjoyed woodworking, fishing and
helping the community as a volunteer fireman, Cub Scout pack master,
courtesy bus driver and many others. Above all, he enjoyed spending time
with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra, sons Ronald S Steven Olson
Davidson and Andrew Tobi Davidson, daughters Melissa Robert Harvey Jr.
Meyer, Stacy Jason Kirell and Jennifer David Zappia Meyer. He is also
survived by grandchildren Maxwell and Tyler Olson, Giada Kirell, Kody
Pannell, Gabriel, Zachary, Seth and Lucas Davidson.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 11:00 am at
Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave. Las Vegas, NV 89121. The
service will also be broadcast at www.CommunityLV.org.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Lutheran Church.
