Lee Hives, 59, of Las Vegas, passed away May 8, 2013. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was an instrument technician. Ronnie was born June 17, 1953, in Kenosha, Wis., to Rubenia Booth. After finishing school, Ronnie joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Las Vegas, where he resided for over 30 years. Ronnie worked for Nevada Power for over 30 years and was the steward for IBEW Local 396. Ronnie officiated basketball and softball throughout southern Nevada for over 20 years. He had a passion for sports and dedicated a lot of personal time and energy to IBEW Local 396. He was a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Ronnie is survived by his four kids, KaShaun, Ronniesha, Jamaal and RJ five grandkids three sisters and two brothers. Visitation will be 1011 a.m. Thursday, May 16, with services following, both at Paradise Seventh Day Adventist Church, 4575 S. Sandhill Road.
Burial will be at 9:20 a.m. Friday, May 17, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive. Ronnie will be loved and remembered always.
