Rosalina Clara Baker

Rosalina Clara Baker, aged 83, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 13, 1940, in Calgary Alberta, Canada, with her 3 brothers and 3 Sisters. Rose was a devout Christian, loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and friend to everyone she met.

Rose grew up in Pasadena, CA, and became a U.S. citizen at the age of 12. After marrying, she moved to Memphis, TN, where she began a new chapter of her life and started a family. Later she relocated to Las Vegas, NV, where Rose continued to raise her children and embarked on a career with the Department of Housing and Urban Development. She retired from HUD in 2003 after 20 years of dedicated service and embraced her role as a full-time grandmother, finding immense joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She loved working in the school concession stands, watching her children and great grandchildren at school events, knitting and volunteering in the nursery at Church. Through the years found immense joy at family gatherings and holding the newborn babies. Her true passion was to strengthen her relationship with God each day.

In the following years she was blessed with more grandkids and great grandkids, and she was able to live and spend her days with each of her children and their families.

Rose was special to everyone that was blessed to cross her path. She is truly a soul to be admired.

Rose is survived by her 3 children, Fred Baker, William Baker, and Christina Gibson: 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday June 16th at Davis Funeral home. 6200 S. Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, Nv 89119. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am, services at 10:00 am and burial to follow at 11:00 am at the adjacent Memorial Park.
