Rose Garcia

Rose Garcia, 79, beloved Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother was called to her eternal resting place on March 29, 2020. She entered this world on August 23, 1940, in Deming, NM, born to Nicholas and Lucia Hernandez. She is survived by her spouse Abel D Garcia; son David Garcia; daughter Dara Garcia; granddaughter Emily'Jane Garcia; daughter Mellissa Franco; granddaughter Christina Dixon; granddaughter Leisa Gandolfo; great-granddaughter Ellinor Dixon; great-granddaughter Isabella Luman; great-grandson Theodore Dixon; sister Alice Hahn; brother Pete Mendoza Hernandez and best friend Tonya Villalobos. She was proceeded in death by her sister Francis Martinez; sister Betty Berrelleza and brother Nicholas Hernandez Jr. and her parents Nicholas and Lucia Hernandez.

Rose loved nothing more than to be with her family. She married Abel D Garcia on December 12, 1965. One of her greatest highlights was her 50th wedding anniversary and renewal of vows. She worked in many roles in her lifetime. She was an Emergency Medical Technician, Nurses Assistant, and Early Child Development Teacher. These roles were just another indication of her dedication to help others. As a mother she supported her children in every way. She always stood by their side and supported them in all their life decisions and was an advocate of getting an education. Her hobbies included shopping, crocheting, bowling, cooking, planning parties, dancing, singing and of course her favorite, playing penny machines.

Rose was loved deeply by her family and friends and will be dearly missed but is in everyone's hearts and minds every day.
