Russell Rocco Calise

Russell Rocco Calise Sr., 70, of Henderson, passed away November 14, 2010. He was born Aug. 16, 1940, in Yonkers, New York, and was a 25year resident of Nevada.

Russell was a financial advisor with New York Life for the past 23 years and a professional Grandpa for the past 11 years. He was married to and with Beatrice Calise for 12 years. He loved a good golf game on a beautiful day. He loved to feed people and was an amazing cook Italian cooking was his specialty. He always wanted to open a little Italian restaurant with all our family recipes. He managed to teach us all the good stuff to leave his legacy behind. Russell touched every life he came in contact with. You could never have an encounter with him without remembering him forever.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Russell was survived by his wife, Beatrice Calise daughter, Kimberly Calise son, Russell Calise Jr. sister, Louise Gilmartin nephew, Mark Gilmartin and pride and joy, his grandchildren, Keira, Keirstin, Mason and Dane.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2300 Sunridge Heights Parkway.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Cancer Society or JDRF Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation for Keira, his diabetic granddaughter.
