Russell Allen Ellison

Russell “Russ” Allen Ellison, 50, of Las Vegas, passed away on March 18, 2025, in Las Vegas.

Russ was born in Las Vegas, Nevada to Cheryl and Harvey Ellison on March 2, 1975. A lifelong resident of Las Vegas, Russ attended Ira J. Earl, Kenny Guinn and Clark High School. As an avid car enthusiast, he followed in his father’s footsteps, turning his hobby into a career by becoming a mechanic. When he wasn’t at work, he could be found working on cars or tinkering with anything that had an engine. He was a jack of all trades. If anyone had a need, they knew they could call Russ. He would always make time to help where he could.

As the primary caregiver to his mother Cheryl, Russ went above and beyond that role. Not only did he ensure that she was taken care of, but he also made sure that she was happy. He turned her house into home, by tailoring it to fit her needs. She began calling him her “Superman”. To her and many others, that’s exactly who he was.

When Russ wasn’t at home helping his mom or helping others, he could be found cruising the roads of Las Vegas in the seat of his Harley or hanging out with his dog Sour, whom he loved more than anything.

Russ is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Ollie Mae Mohr, paternal grandmother Eleanor Ellison and Uncles Donald Mohr Jr., and Lynn Casteel.

He is survived by his parents Cheryl and Harvey Ellison Sr., brother Harvey Ellison Jr., and his wife Ashley, sisters Kailey and Krystal, nieces Brittany, Breanna and Hannah, nephews Carlos and Matthew, his beloved dog Sour, his extended family The Bravo’s, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

We welcome family, friends, and loved ones to Russ’s visitation to be held on Monday April 7, 2025, from 1pm-3pm with funeral services to follow immediately after from 3pm-4pm at Davis Funeral Home on Eastern.
