Salvatore Miloro

Salvatore “Sam” Miloro, age 70, from Buffalo, New York, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sam was born to Joseph and Natalie Miloro on April 23, 1949.

Sam graduated in 1967 from Bennett High School in Buffalo. After graduation, Sam enlisted in the United States Army reserves and served honorably for six years. Sam went on to become a Tavern owner and the youngest liquor licensee in the State of New York, when he was 21 years old. In 1969, Sam married JoAnn Scaduto and they welcomed their daughter Natalie in 1971, and their son Joseph “Joey” in 1973.

In 1975, the family relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada where Sam worked in the restaurant and showroom management industry.  In 1984, Sam married his second wife Barbara Williams.  Together they raised Barbara’s daughter, Jennifer Carey. Later in Sam’s career, he relocated to Chicago, Illinois and he and Barbara operated a neighborhood Sport’s bar and restaurant. 

When Sam learned that he was going to be a grandfather, he decided to move back to Las Vegas. Years later, Sam relocated back to his roots in Buffalo. While there, he opened and operated Mel’s Tavern for many years before retiring in Las Vegas.

Sam is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Natalie, his brother John, and his niece Joanna. He is survived by his daughter Natalie (David), his son Joey (Katie), step-daughter Jennifer (Roy), his sister Marie (Ronald), his grandchildren, Lance, Jade, Sienna, Ella, and Brody, nephew Michael (Andi), all of Las Vegas, Nevada, nieces Catrina and Marianne (Michael) of Michigan, many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 15th at Davis Funeral Home located at 6200 S. Eastern Avenue, in Las Vegas.  Visitation begins at 1pm with the Funeral Service to begin promptly at 2pm.
