Saundra was born in Provo, Utah in 1942. Her childhood was spent in picturesque Springville, Utah. She was a headstrong little girl that grew up to be a headstrong young woman who would be independent, self-confident, and a fierce friend. She was a crusader of her beliefs and never wavered always looking forward to sharing her message. After serving a Morman mission in Beautiful Canada she returned home to get married in the Salt Lake Temple to a man that would make her laugh and share in the love of playing pranks on each other. Maynard Pollock would never miss an opportunity to write love notes on napkins or take the time to write music and dedicate to their love. Since they both were born in Utah they would return often and when they added children to their family it became a place of sanctuary for all of them when they needed to escape from the busy city life of Vegas. Saundra is preceded in Death by Maynard Pollock who passed away in 1991. She is survived by her daughter Sylvia Barriga, Jorge Barriga-Diaz, one grandson Blake Philip Vollmoeller of Las Vegas, and her son Michael Pollock of Arkansas. Her brother Kay Weight of Utah, sister Michelle Neilson of Colorado and sister Jo Noxon of Utah, and many, many friends.
Saundra worked in Banking almost entirely throughout her career, and even after retiring, she maintained relationships with co-workers and clients. She viewed these relationships as some of the most important of her life.
Her church was integral to who she was as a person. Nothing was more enjoyable to her than attending church and working at the Las Vegas Temple. Her home life was surrounded by her hosting dinners, baking for her friends, and visiting anyone who needed help.
A woman with what seemed like very little fear. She was strong in her convictions giving those that in her absence will find hard to fill if at all.
