In Loving Memory of Sharon Lou Daileda
Sharon Lou Daileda, a beloved resident of Las Vegas, NV, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. She was 81.
Born in Wichita Falls, Kansas, to Leonard and Wenona (Hass) Vanderhoofven, Sharon's journey brought her to Las Vegas during her elementary school years. She graduated from Rancho High School in 1961 and pursued her passion for fashion by attending a design school in Los Angeles, CA. In 1963, she married Anthony "Big Tony" Daileda, and together, they embarked on a journey that included raising four boys and establishing a world-renowned western-themed BBQ catering company.
On August 11, 1987, Sharon faced an unimaginable loss with the passing of her beloved son, Michael. Later, on May 19, 2011, she bid farewell to her loving husband, Big Tony. Despite the heartbreak, Sharon continued to find strength in her family and the cherished memories they created together.
She is survived by her three devoted sons: Anthony F. Daileda, Jr., and his wife Barbara of Henderson, NV; Dominic Daileda and his wife Sandi of Beatty, NV; and Benjamin Daileda and his wife Esther of Las Vegas, NV. Sharon leaves behind a legacy of love and family, including seven grandchildren who called her "Bon": Julia, Anthony III, Ella, Atsina, Yanu, Bailee, and Michael, as well as three great-grandchildren: Kenlynn, Raelynn, and Aiden.
In addition to her immediate family, Sharon is survived by her brother, Max, and his wife, Karen Vanderhoofven of San Diego, CA, and numerous nieces and nephews who will forever remember her smile and caring soul.
Sharon Lou Daileda's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, family, and faith in Jesus. She will be deeply missed by her sons, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know her, as they will always keep her safely tucked in their hearts. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to those who mourn her passing. As Sharon would always say, "God Be With You".
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice in Sharon Lou Daileda's name.
