Shelley Hovaniec, 56, was taken from us on March 13, 2024 in Las Vegas.
Shelley was born in Hialeah, FL, to Larry and Ann Sholar on Sep 9, 1967.
Shelley was the light in every room and a friend to everyone she met. She was dedicated to her husband of 26 years and love of her life, Doug, and to their fur babies, Chef, Norm, Phin, and Pickle; bird, DJ, and goats, Lord Nelson, Lady Emma and Sunflower. Shelley was passionate about her dogs and was very involved in their training both at home and competitively. She travelled extensively with her teammates on Touch N Go for flyball competitions where her dogs set world records. As yacht crew members for four years, Shelley and Doug travelled all over the world on an adventure of a lifetime together. Shelley’s love of travel and family also sent her to Ireland and Italy making priceless memories for all to cherish. She was a planner, an avid reader and lifelong scholar – always learning something new about health and nutrition for her dogs and herself. She worked in marketing for the restaurant sector for many years and is a graduate of NC State University in Raleigh, NC, where she met her husband.
Shelley is preceded in death by her father, Larry Sholar.
