Stephen Edward Coash, of Henderson, Nevada, died Tuesday, March 10th 2015 at Nellis Air Force Base in
Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born in Kankakee, Illinois on July 24th, 1948 to Clifford (Tiff) and Eileen
Lambert Coash. He was a 1967 graduate of Bishop McNamara High School in Kankakee, Illinois where he was
the quarterback of the football team and involved in many other athletic activities. Stephen attended
college in Glendale, California and Eastern Illinois University. He was a highly decorated
Vietnam veteran and served several tours during that time. Stephen worked at Englewood Electric
Company for 25 years before retiring in 2002. He enjoyed sports, music and was an avid
Toby Keith fan. He was involved with the Knights of Columbus, the Elks and many community activities. He was devoted to his family. He was a kind, generous gentleman with a terrific sense of humor. Stephen will be greatly missed. The family thanks the doctors, nurses and staff at Nellis Air Force Hospital for their excellent and compassionate care of him.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Davis Funeral Home at 6200 South Eastern Avenue, Las

The funeral procession will proceed to Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 2300 Sunridge Heights Parkway in Henderson Nevada 89052. There will be a celebration of the Mass with military honors at 10:30 A.M. with burial to follow at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 1900 Buchanan Boulevard in Boulder City Nevada. Following the burial there will be a gathering of friends and family at Wildfire Bar and Grill at 2551 Anthem Village Drive, Henderson, Nevada 89052.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents Tiff and Eileen Coash, his brother Douglas Coash and his
brother-in-law Ronald Jacobs. Surviving are his sister, Cathy Jacobs of Springfield, Illinois, her sons Ross
and Marc Jacobs of Denver, Colorado and Scot Jacobs and his wife Sarah of Springfield, Illinois.
Stephen was Scot's godfather and he was the great uncle of Scot and Sarah's children, Julia, Emilie and
Anna. He is also survived by his brother, Bradford J. Coash and his wife, Karen M. Brown of Henderson,
Nevada with whom he resided. He leaves behind many friends.
