Sue Ann McHale, 78, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and formerly of Reading, Pennsylvania, passed away at her home on August 29, 2023.
Sue was born on January 26, 1945, to the late John and Mary Rehr in Reading, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Reading High School and subsequently McCann School of Business.
She married the late Thomas George McHale on June 19, 1971, and they lived together in Reading until Tom’s death in 2012. She relocated to Las Vegas in 2013. Sue is survived by her two children, Timothy McHale and Matthew McHale, both of Las Vegas; and five siblings: J. Timothy Rehr of Cypress, TX; Beth Powell of Reading, PA; Meg (Margaret) Lubas of Reading, PA; Jan Gustison of Amesbury, MA; and Thomas Rehr of Cypress, TX. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Tom.
Sue was a “second mom” to many in Reading and was beloved by those she cared for over the years. She loved the beach and enjoyed numerous trips to sunny shores with Tom and her sons. Her years in Las Vegas were filled with new friends and new adventures, and she treasured having both her sons nearby.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, from noon to 2:00 pm at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. in Las Vegas. A video link will be available for those unable to attend. Interment of ashes will occur at a later date. Sue’s family is grateful for the support of her friends and loved ones during this time.
