Teresa Sandoval

"Teresita (“Teresa”) Elena (“Helen”) Sandoval, 85, of Las Vegas, passed away on April 17, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her family is deeply saddened by her passing.

Teresa was born October 15, 1937, to Jose Pacheco and Florence Garcia in Gobernador, New Mexico. In 1942, her family moved to Las Vegas, and she attended Las Vegas Grammar School, where she met her husband of 38 years, Joseph Sandoval, with whom she had four children.

In 1961, she began working for the Clark County School District and worked her way up to school nurse at Rancho High School, where she worked for 28 years before retiring.

Teresa was predeceased by her parents, her two brothers, Jose Martinez and Ray Pacheco and her sister, Julia Espinosa. She is survived by her four children, Joseph Sandoval, Carmen Vohwinkel, Daniel Sandoval (wife Lucy) and Nicolas Sandoval. She is also survived by her six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Teresa was a fun, loving, and spirited soul, who enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, attending church, assisting other women in fellowship, and traveling.

A viewing will be held on May 4th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and funeral services will be held on May 5th at 2 p.m.. Both events will be held at Davis Funeral Home at 6200 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
