Thomas G. LaPratt

Thomas Gene La Pratt, 65, of Goodsprings, passed away at home June 19, 2013, from the strong sideeffects of radiation and chemotherapy. He was born in Lansing, Mich. in 1947. His parents were Gene E. La Pratt and Doris C. Eedy. He is survived by his wife, of 28 years, Carol. He was a beloved husband, dad and grandpa. He had two sisters, Susan Phillip and her children, Scott, Jordan and Shane, Bryant and Lily, all of Michigan, and Mary John of Maryland three daughters by marriage, Christie of Goodsprings and her children, Shannen, Adam, Megan, Zack and Nate, Diana David, Ariel and Aaron, all of Las Vegas, Eugenia Paul Corwin, Brandon and Samantha of Missouri greatgrandchildren, Amerie, Loghan and Willow, baby Evan, and as Tom would say, three more in the bun warmer due soon. He had many friends and classmates in Michigan, and many more friends in Las Vegas and the Goodsprings area. He was a Webers Bread manager in Michigan for 13 years, and a food and beverage manager in Nevada for 28 years. He was a veteran, having served in the Vietnam War from 19661968. He is now awaiting a resurrection into an Earthly paradise by his God, Jehovah, and our reigning King and Savior Jesus Christ. Viewing will be 9 a.m.11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, with funeral services following, both at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow at Goodsprings Cemetery. Reception will then follow at the Goodsprings Community Center, 385 W. San Pedro Ave. All are welcome.
