Thomas C. Malich, Jr., 59, passed away on October 11, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The first of five children, he was born to parents Thomas C. Malich, Sr., and Sandra Malich on October 31, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Thomas is survived by his mother, Sandra Malich; his three children Diana Malich, Thomas C. Malich III, and Melissa (John) Schroeder; his siblings Michael (Tammy) Malich, Joseph Malich, and Mary (Rachelle) Malich; and his three grandsons Elijah (13), Jackson (8), and Daniel (7). Thomas was preceded in death by his father Thomas C. Malich, Sr. (2020), and his brother Daniel Malich (2004).
In the famous words of Bob Seger, Thomas lived like a rock, standing hard against the wind. Throughout life’s ups and downs, he remained steadfast in his love for his family, his dogs, sports (especially the Dallas Cowboys), driving his truck, and music. Thomas spent most of his career doing what he did best- driving a truck across the country. He was meant to be on the open road. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and could often be found listening to a good song on the radio or watching the game with his dogs at his feet. He had a soft spot in his heart for animals and was known to bring home a stray a time or two. Thomas was a beloved father, son, brother, friend, and patriot who is dearly missed.
The memorial service for Thomas will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Davis Funeral Home located at 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
