With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our dear friend, Thomas John Plumeri, known to all as Tom. Born in New Jersey in 1946, Tom dedicated his life to serving his community as a policeman, volunteer firefighter, and EMT. We remember him for his love of golfing with friends Lew, Tommy, Dick, and Dan, his passion for NASCAR and supporting Chase Elliott, as well as his unwavering loyalty to the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.
Tom found joy in exploring the world, especially through his travels to destinations like the Caribbean, Panama Canal, Hawaii, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Jamaica, Belize, Roatan, the Cayman Islands, Mexico, Alaska. Washington, and California . His adventurous spirit and love for cruising will forever be remembered by those who knew him.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Joanne, daughters Shari and Regina, mother-in-law Jane, sister Suzanne Yenchik and her husband Stephen, sister-in-law Barbara Plumeri, sister-in-law Cheryl, and a large extended family. Tom was predeceased by his parents Claire and Joseph; step-parents William and Doris; brothers Phillip, Anthony, James, and Mark Plumeri, and will continue to hold a special place in the hearts of his nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with his brother-in-law Thomas Sullivan and wife Patty, sister-in-law Susan McEachen and husband Hal, and close friends Lew Consiglieri and wife Claudia.
A veteran of the Air Force, Tom served proudly before transitioning to a career in printing in which he excelled. His dedication to his country and community will always be remembered with gratitude.
A gathering in Tom's honor will be held on Sunday, July 21st, 2024 at Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 6200 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89119. A reception will follow. Tom will be interred at the Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 22nd, 2024.
