Thomas Ervin Trent was born in Long Beach, California on August 12, 1944, to Vance and Frances (Davis) Trent. He passed away on February 16, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He met his wife Carroll Camie Trent 45 years ago and they celebrated their forty-fourth wedding anniversary on November 21, 2022. He is preceded by his parents and survived by his wife, sister Miriam (Trent) Kaminski, brother Craig Trent, son Tyrone Trent, daughters Mindy (Mecham) Moya and Melanie Mecham, grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Tom took an interest in cars in his youth and during his high school years at Jordan High School in Long Beach was a member of a low-rider car club named the Tyrants. He cherried out a number of cars (starting with a 1942 Ford he bought when he was 15) and experienced many an adventure during this time. Tom was a natural talent and excelled at whatever he did. He was also a tremendously hard worker and set an example for many. He was excellent at planning and logistics and thoroughly enjoyed working as a Project Manager for Eberhard Southwest Roofing Company until he passed.
Tom will be remembered for his love of family and friends, zest for life, infectious positivity, work ethic, and intellect. His ability to retain and convey information was extraordinary. He also had a great personality that made everything fun to those around him and was a great role model and mentor for his siblings and the three generations to follow. Tom will be deeply missed and always loved.
