Thurma Luellen Wilson of Las Vegas passed away November 11, 2017, at the age of 79 in the presence of her family, after an extended illness. She was born August 9, 1938 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Thurman and Hazel Granger. Thurma truly lived life to the fullest through spending time with her grandkids, bowling, reading and cooking. Thurma moved to Las Vegas with her husband Charles in 1961. She worked as a cashier/cook at the Western Hotel for 32 years and was a retired member of Culinary Local 226. She is survived by her two sisters Myrna Ingles of Elmer, New Jersey and Janice Sutton of Bridgeton, New Jersey and her two sons Tracy Wilson of Las Vegas, Nevada and Troy Wilson of Springfield, Missouri and daughter Kim Wilson of Las Vegas, Nevada and many grandchildren. Thurma's memorial service will be held at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Chapel on 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, Nevada 89005 on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with the gravesite committal to follow immediately thereafter.
