Tina Joy BlackburnPope, 42, passed away Friday, March 28th, 2014 at her home surrounded by family and loved ones.
Tina was born November 21, 1971 in St. George, Utah where she spent most of her childhood. She attended Dixie High School before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada with her family, where she graduated from Valley High School.
Through hard work, preservation and lots of charisma Tina worked her way to the top of the casino industry where she eventually became the Senior Executive Slot Hostess at Mandalay Bay. She was passionate about her career and was loved by coworkers and customers alike.
Tina met her husband, Scott Pope, 21 years ago and they have raised two wonderful sons together. They lived life to the fullest and created many beautiful memories together.
Some of Tinas favorite pastimes were traveling, camping, gardening, shopping and most of all being with family. She was by far the favorite Aunt and was always surrounded by children. Tina filled the world around her with love and beauty and she received much love in return. Her genuine spirit touched many lives and her precious memory will be cherished by all. She was taken from us far too soon and will be greatly missed.
Tina was preceded in death by her sister Tera Jill Cannon.
Tina is survived by her husband, Scott Pope their sons Tavish Blackburn and Cole Pope her granddaughter Lilah Blackburn her parents Terry and Mary Ann Blackburn her siblings Heidi Blackburn, Haley Jacobs, Mindy Shepherd, Matt Blackburn and Charlie Blackburn and many nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Friday April 4th, 2014 at the Davis Funeral Home 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Las Vegas, NV 89119. Visitation begins at 5pm and the funeral service begins at 7pm.
