Tsadikan Gebreselassie was born in 1959 to her father Ato Tesfay Gebreselassie and her mother Woizero Ellen Tekle in Feres Mai, Tigray. Due to the war in 1977, Tsadikan moved to Sudan to find peace. Tsadikan enjoyed Sudan where she met life long friends Tesgai and Hiwot that turned into family. In 1984, Tsadikan along with her new family was given the opportunity to come to America. After living in Los Angeles California, Tsadikan met her husband in 1989, Teklehaimanot Gebrehiwot and shared a happy union for 30 years. Tsadikan and her husband were blessed with two children, Tarik and Heaven which they raised with dedication and love. Tsadikan and her children had and will continue to have a strong relationship with their mother. Her children described their mother as being selfless, concerned with the family needs over her own, and loving. Always making them feel special and safe .
Tsadikan was well known for her grace and kindness by everyone she has ever met. In 1997, Tsadikan and her family left Los Angeles and moved to Las Vegas. After the move to Las Vegas she made new friends and found a new job that she maintained for over 20 years.
Tsadikan was an active member in her church and the Ethiopian community. Most recently she found joy in her new grandchild, when her eldest daughter gave birth to Zantana.
Tsadikan was not alone when she passed , she was surrounded by her friends and family that she loved.
Tsadikan is survived by her husband, Teklehaimanot; her daughters, Tarik and Heaven; and her granddaughter, Zantana.
