Vicente Tapocol Torricer died at the age of 85, on May 8, 2014, in Las Vegas, NV. Vince or Shorty called by his close friends and family, was born on Sept. 14, 1928, to Cesario and Avelina Torricer, in the quite town of Puunene, Maui, Hawaii. He is the 4th eldest child among 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
After graduating from Baldwin High School in 1946, he moved to Oahu, where he was employed as a Paper Cutter Operator, for the Naval Publication and Printing Service, at Naval Station Pearl Harbor, where he retired after 37 years of service.
Vicente, married Angelina Helen Hidaro, on Feb. 3rd, 1951. In a span of 10 years, Robert, Roberta, and Robin were born, and accepted Glenn, who they cared for and raised as their own.
Vince and Angie, moved to Las Vegas, not very long after his retirement. They would fly back to Hawaii, only when the opportunity presented itself, but eventually, called Las Vegas home.
Vince is survived by a sister, Maxine Ballangao, sons and a daughter, Robert Sylvia, Robin Torricer Debi, Roberta Thomas Mendoza, Glenn Joanna Ballangao. 9 grandchildren, Shrina Eric Todoroki , Ryan, Sayra Torricer. Brendan, Breland, Bryce, Britney Mendoza, Gabriella Ramirez, and Joslyn Ballangao. And also, 5 Greatgrandchildren,
Kayla BotelhoTorricer, EmmaMae Mendoza, Curren Todoroki, Sophia OlivasRamirez and Isabella HubbardRamirez.
