Vurel Smithey

Vurel Wesley Smithey, 63, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at home in Las Vegas, NV. Vurel worked  in the Trucking Industry and Oil Field Industry for most of his life. One of his favorite memories was relocating to Arizona to work on the Border Wall. He made several lifetime friendships throughout the years. He will be missed by everyone in these industries.

Vurel was born in Fort Morgan, CO to Charlette Alice and Edward Jarold Smithey on July 28, 1958.

Vurel is preceded in death by, his mother, Charlette, Father Edward and Sister Carolina along with His Grandparents and several other relatives.

Vurel is survived by his wife, Rose Marie, Son, Shawn (Jessica), Daughter, Mindy, Brothers Wayne and Terry, Sister Kathy (Phillip), and Brenda (Lenny), sister-in-law Tiffany (Mark), brother-in-law Jimmy (Robyn), Grandkids, Abbey, Anney, Alley, Braxton, Vanessa, Priscilla and Nathaniel.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 17,2022 from 3 PM to 5 PM followed by a funeral service from 5 PM to 6 PM at Davis Funeral Home & Memorial Park, located at 6200 S Eastern Avenue. Las Vegas, NV 89119. Pastor Heiden Ratner of Walk Church will officiate services.

Vurel’s family would like to thank Dr. Vikas Gupta of Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Staff at Nathan Adelson Hospice for the Care and Compassion shown during this difficult time.
