Walter Joseph Holly Jr.

Walter J Holly JR. (10/10/1927 -  02/16/2020) husband of late Shirley Holly (Formerly Jensen), and father of Jay K. Holly and Laurel (Laurie) R. Rolewicz, and grandfather to Gregory and Ross (R.J.) Rolewicz. Walter was formerly a Illinois resident and World War ll veteran. His career was in the trucking industry, working for I.M.L (Interstate Motor Lines) for many years. After retiring, he went on to work and became quite successful in sales for Sears in Chicago Ridge, Illinois mall. He continued working into his late 70’s. Coincidentally, his first job as a young man was also for a Sears store, where he met and fell hard for a beautiful young blonde woman, Shirley, who within a few years became his wife and mom to his 2 children. Walter was a friendly guy, talking and joking with anyone who’d listen. Many would recognize him by his favorite hat which he wore everyday that read, S.O.B (Sexy old buzzard).
