Wayne Collington Irving was born on October 23, 1968 in Kingston, Jamaica, W.I. to Ashley Irving and Karleen Robinson. Wayne was the younger brother to Hugh Irving, and brother in law to Joy, uncle to Samona, Ramon, Andre and Kareem. A nephew, a cousin, and a loyal friend to many. He was a doting granduncle to Kavoni and Dasani, affectionately known to them as Poppas.
Wayne attended Edith High School. He was a number one athlete in the High jump, where he earned many awards.
After graduation, Wayne pursued his first love, music, where he teamed up with the late, Tenor Saw. They made sweet dance hall music together with the admiration of many fans, especially the females. He then earned the name Singie Singie. It complimented his good looks and welcoming personality.
Wayne lived in Las Vegas for many years. He worked at the Ballys Hotel and UNLV where he mastered the art of pizza making. He later was known as Pick Hard because of his habit of questioning everything. One thing that will stand out in everyones mind and that is his love of Chinese food. If anyone met him at a Chinese Buffet, they will never forget him. We named a Chinese dish after him called Waynes Collection, which included everything you could think of.
While in a coma at the hospital, we kept reminding him of shrimp fried rice, moo goo gai pan, and all of his other favorite Chinese dishes. We all will miss him dearly and we will always miss his ability to provide comedy in a serious situation.
Even now I know he will be singing some songs and saying lets hurry up and go to the Chinese Buffet. Rest in Peace, Singie Singie. Continue to pick hard
He leaves behind a mother, a father a brother a sister in law, a niece, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and other relatives.
Wayne C. Irving is survived by his mother, Karleen RobinsonFay his brother, Hugh Irving his uncles, Carl Robinson and Marvin Robinson and his aunts, Delrose Dragon, Doreen Allen, Jeannette Johnson, and Christine Bogle.
