Schools: GRADE 1-6, Cross School in Chanute, Ks; Junior High School in Hutchinson and Chanute, Ks; High School in Denver Co, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Chicago. An NYA trade school in Charleston, West Virginia, where at 16 he got his first taste of electronics and additionally, about specialty schools in the military service. The General Electric Co. sent him to six special medical equipment training courses on X-ray and full body scanners.

Medical: 1964; Gall Bladder removed. 1977; Hemorrhoid, severe rectal infection, 10 days hospitalization. 1988; Malignant Colon cancer, 8 inches of lower colon removed. 1993; benign polyp removed in lower intestinal tract. In childhood; measles, mumps, scarlet fever, chicken pox, broken left leg, broken left arm, etc.

Biography: Wilbur was born at home in Chanute and lived there until 1941, he moved with the family to Denver. Then in August 1943 moved with the family to Albuquerque, NM. In March 1944 he went to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. With civil service job for the U.S. Navy. While there he was inducted into the Navy 12 April 1945, with inactive service until 21 Sept 1945 when, after the war ended, he was discharged. Wilbur then returned to the mainland and enlisted in the U.S. Army 12 Dec 1945 in Philadelphia, PA RA13199356. After basic training he went to Germany and worked as a radio repairman. Wilbur returned to the U.S. in September 1948 and was discharged from the Army on 13, Oct 1948. He lived with his parents in Chicago and finished High School under the G.I. Bill at Schultz H.S. in Chicago. Wilbur then traveled to the west coast, worked at various small jobs and then enlisted again in the Army in Chicago on 16 Sept 1949. From that point on he had continuous Army service until 31 Jan 1969 when he was retired in the rank of Command Sergeant Major (CSM, E9). Wilbur had served in the Philippine Islands; Budapest, Hungary; Korea and the Panama Canal Zone in addition to West Germany on his first Army tour. His wife and family accompanied him to Budapest and the Canal Zone in Panama. His state side assignments; Instructor in Basic training at Camp Chowder, MO. And Fort Ord, Ca. ; Army Security Agency in Washington D.C and Two Rock Ranch, CA. ; White House Army Signal Agency in Washington D.C. and various other locations in Virginia ; and he was an instructor in Electronics at Ft. Monmouth, NJ. After his retirement from the U.S Army, he worked for Univac, Sperry Rand Corp for almost three years. He was then employed by the General Electric Company in Las Vegas, NV. Area from Jan 1972 until Jan 1989. He then retired from G.E. and became the Account Manager for Maintenance Management's account at University Medical Center (the county hospital for Clark Co, NV.) managing the maintenance of all of the hospitals technical equipment. This continued until July of 1991 when Wilbur decided to retire for good.

Tracing the genealogy of his family occupied his time to a great extent from 1992 on until 2005 when June fell ill with a bad heart condition. Her death in mid-January of 2008 changed the direction of goals for her family.
Wilbur remarried Joyce A. English (Mckee) who he met while walking in the Boulevard Mall in April 2008
