William Lloyd Grant was born to William and Maud Grant on December 25, 1923 in New York City. He attended and completed his education in New York City. Bill then migrated to Philadelphia to work as a welder in the Naval Ship Yard. Later, ""Bill"", as he was affectionately known returned to New York City and started a career as a photographer for a newspaper, where he worked for several years. Bill was a member of the Crispus Attucks Masonic Lodge #60 Free and Accepted New York Transit Authority where he was employed for over thirty years. During his employment, Bill met his wife of 35 years, Laselle Clendinen.
After retiring from NY transit, Bill and Laselle moved to Las Vegas. Enjoying retirement, the continued to travel abroad. Their union took them on many adventures, which included numerous trips to Europe, Alaska, Hawaii, and Rio de Janeiro, to name some of the exciting places visited by the Grants.
On his journey, Bill made many friends, who spoke highly of him and took pleasure in being in his company. He left to mourn his passing his loving wife, Laselle; step-children, Larry and Celina; sister-in-law, Aase; and numerous nieces and nephews, who love him dearly. We shall all miss him, may he rest in peace.
