William Fogg Jensen, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away of natural causes on Sunday, July 13, 2014. Bill was born February 10, 1925 in Sugar City, Idaho to Alvin Ward Jensen and Vida Fogg Jensen. He served in the US Army Air Corp during WWII in India. He became a scholar on the war during his lifetime.
On April 19, 1946, he married the love of his life, Donna Grace Goettsche, in the Idaho Falls Temple. They were married 53 years. She preceded him in death by 15 years. He missed her deeply every day of those years. They had nine children.
Bill was an avid reader and had an extensive library of books which reflected his love of knowledge and passion to learn and pursue truth.
Bill was a hard worker and perfectionist. His earliest jobs were helping his father move homes. Later, He moved his family to South Carolina for 15 year where he owned a construction company and was a successful real estate broker. Later he moved his family to Las Vegas.
Bill loved the Lord. He served faithfully as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in ward, stake and temple callings. He had a great desire to go on a mission but was deterred because of his health. Bill is survived by all nine of his children. Mary Barney David Linda Zobrist Mark Carolyn Ferrin Leavitt Richard, Bill Jensen Donna, JoAnn Moulton Steve, Michael Jensen Becky, Jim Jensen Cindy,Margie Seastrand Doug and Robert Jensen Shawna and 45 grandchildren and 75 great grandchildren.
His funeral will be held Saturday, July 19 at 1 PM at the Desert Inn Ward, Tree Line Chapel 2285 South Treeline Dr, Las Vegas, Nevada chapel. Interment will take place at the Davis Memorial Park in Las Vegas.
