William Arthur Rude Jr.

With great joy, Bill and Kathy Rude welcomed their firstborn, William Arthur Rude Jr. on February 22, 1979, in Antioch California.

Billy went home to be with the Lord on January 20, 2024, just shy of his 45^th birthday.

He is survived by his parents, William and Katherine, his wife Cary, and their children Daisy and Broden, his granddaughter Lianna, siblings Robert, Phillip, and Kasey, brother-in-law René and Josh, nephew Teddy Bear, and grandmother Honey.

 Billy Rude was one-of-a-kind. He was a deep thinker. He loved animals and other creepy crawly things. He loved his family and friends deeply. He had many friends from high school who he stayed in touch with over the years. 

Billy was overjoyed at the birth of his children. His wife and his children were the love of his life.

He enjoyed playing board games with his son, spending time at the skate park with him, and just doing life. He never met his granddaughter, Lianna, in person, but saw her several times on Facetime. He was very excited to meet her. 

Billy struggled with drug addiction for over 25 years. He tried many times to get clean, but the addiction took over. It was the most painful thing for his family to watch.

Several years ago, Billy accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, but he still struggled because the drugs were embedded in him.  But the Lord knows his pain and his struggles and because of this, his family is confident we will see him again in heaven.
