Clarence A Gamble

Clarence Alvin Gamble passed on to Glory in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 30, 2019.

Clarence is survived by Mary Willie Gamble, his beloved wife of 58 years.  He is also survived by his sons Darnell (Las Vegas), Stephen (Ft. Worth, TX), Driscas (Las Vegas) and Clarence Edwin (Denver, CO); and daughters Julia (Las Vegas) and Kristi Nicole (Brooklyn, NY). 

Clarence comes from a big family, and is survived by brothers Raymond Sr. (Las Vegas), Geno (Odessa, TX), James Harold (Las Vegas), William (Waco, TX), Donnie (Dallas, TX), and Ronnie (Waco, TX).  Clarence’s surviving sisters are Ada Mae (Hewitt, TX ), Dr. Clarissa (Houston, TX ), Marva (Copperas Cove, TX), Janice (Defiance, OH), Joanne (Kent, WA) and Doris Helen (Bryant, TX).

Also surviving Clarence are scores of grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Clarence is preceded in death by his father William Gamble, Sr and mother Georgia Lee Gamble, as well as his sister Nelda Gamble.

Clarence followed his oldest brother Raymond to Las Vegas in 1971 to follow in the family trade of concrete masonry.  Shortly thereafter, he returned to Texas to bring his family to Las Vegas where he founded C.A.G. Concrete & Construction.  His business was his “baby”, and with his hard work, C.A.G. Concrete & Construction grew into a vibrant, ongoing business concern. Clarence’s hard work culminated in recognition by the Small Business Administration as Small Business of the Year, amongst other accolades.

Mary and her children would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to “Uncle Raymond”, Clarence’s oldest brother.  Clarence had a special bond with Raymond that lasted until his death.  Raymond made certain that in his final years, Clarence did not want for anything, and for that, we are forever grateful.

A wake will take place on Friday, September 6 between 6:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89119.  The funeral will take place on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Davis Funeral Home, with the viewing taking place at 11:00 A.M., with service to follow at 12:00 Noon.  A reception for family and friends will follow the funeral at the home of Traci Gamble.  

Clarence will be laid to rest on Monday, September 9th, 2019,at the Valley View Cemetery in Hubbard, Hill County, Texas.
